This one is bright, properly bright, a magenta that reads a little softer in person than it does in photos but still has plenty of presence. It's the kind of colour you put on when you want to be noticed, in the best way.

It's a double-breasted shape with a wide collar and a snap closure instead of buttons down the front, finished off with a fine black piping that traces the front edge, a small detail that adds a lot of polish for very little fuss. Two patch style pockets sit at the hip, and the back has a gathered seam that flares the hem out slightly, giving the whole jacket a bit of shape and movement instead of just hanging flat. The snaps all work perfectly, and it comes with a spare outside button and a spare inside button, so you're covered either way. The shell is 60% wool, 25% acrylic and 15% polyester, with a 100% polyester lining.

There's a very small, barely noticeable snag on the lining at the back, the kind of thing you'd only spot if you went looking for it.
